Broker's Comments

Designed by Bruce Roberts and built by the first owner, this 36ft steel cutter was launched in 1987 and provides a strong, seaworthy blue water cruising yacht. Once a Dartmouth sail training vessel, this has been sailed far and wide and there are some interesting on line blogs about her time in Greece and sailing around the Med. She has also been sailed regularly by the current owners but they have now decided to downsize.

Straightforward and practical, the cutter rig gives a good performance and both the genoa & staysail are furling. There’s a strong electric Lofrans windlass fitted, the decks are clean, uncluttered and easy to move around and the self steering mechanism on the transom is fully working and ready to help on long passages. Some of the nav equipment wiring needs checking but once done, there is quite an extensive overall nav fit.

Down below, there are berths for 6, a large forward facing nav station, a separate heads compartment, cabin heating and a roomy interior.

Grit blasted and epoxied back in 2011, she was last antifouled in April 2018. The engine was rebuilt back in 2014 and was last serviced in November 2017.

If steel is your thing and you want the ability to go long or short distance cruising on an impressive and seaworthy yacht (all without breaking the bank), this might just be the vessel for you.
