Nimbus Group looks to ‘drive growth’ as it unveils new models at boot Düsseldorf
At the upcoming boot Düsseldorf show, Nimbus Group will showcase two new entries from its portfolio. Aquador is debuting its largest model to date, the Aquador 400 HT, in a world premiere. The group will also present the Nimbus 495 Flybridge as a show premiere.
The Aquador 400 HT measures 12.1 metres in length and 3.96 metres in beam, it accommodates up to 12 people, featuring three cabins and eight berths. It has a hardtop structure for all-weather comfort, while large windows and sunroofs provide a bright and open feel. Social spaces include a versatile aft deck with a convertible sunbed, a spacious salon, and a bow deck with optional adjustable loungers.
Michael Bohm, chief marketing officer at Nimbus Group, tells MIN that the model was inspired by demand: “We have a huge installed base of Aquador owners who have been asking for a model in this size range,” he says. “On top of this, we target an international demographic that values an affordable yet premium alternative to the brands available today.”

The helm is equipped with a 12-inch chart plotter, upgradable to dual 16-inch displays, ensuring intuitive navigation. Engine options include twin outboard Mercury 350 HP V10s, twin stern drive Volvo Penta D4 320 HP diesels or twin Mercury Diesel 270 HP V6s, offering flexibility for different performance needs. Unique features include a co-pilot position that can convert into a chaise lounge, as well as expansive views from the cockpit. “The view from all areas in the cockpit is something special, and together with the space, you really feel like being on a yacht,” Bohm says.
He adds that the 400 HT reflects Aquador’s responsiveness to customer feedback and its growth strategy. “Aquador is a brand developed very closely with the consumers. They have inspired us to take the step up to 40 feet, but still, it is vital to keep the 250 and 300. If we listen to our customers, we believe this move will drive growth.”

Nimbus will also present its new 495 Flybridge, which marks its entry into the explorer segment. At approximately 15 metres in length and with a beam of 4.6 metres, the model is designed for long-distance exploration. Featuring a spacious saloon, a large aft deck and integrated propulsion solutions, it emphasises comfort, sustainability and ease of use in diverse conditions. The 495 Flybridge has already gained traction within the market.
“Nimbus 495, which is shown in Dusseldorf for the first time, has been a huge success for us,” says Bohm.

Looking ahead to 2025, Bohm says Nimbus Group expects a recovery from ‘softer’ market conditions in 2024. The firm confirmed in 2024 that it is closing its Finnish production facilities in Kuopio and Luoto due to weak demand in the smaller end of the boating market. The move will see hundreds of staff lose their jobs.
Bohm adds: “Interest rates are coming down and consumer confidence is increasing. This will give the boating industry a slightly better market. With Aquador’s new three-model series we aim to grow internationally a greater speed then before.”
Apart from the brand-new Aquador 400 HT and the Nimbus 495 Flybridge, the following Nimbus Group boats will be showcased at boot 2025: Nimbus T8, Nimbus W11, Nimbus C11 (MK2, with a new cockpit layout), Nimbus T11, inboard Volvo Penta with assisted docking for DPI stern drive, Nimbus 305 Coupé, Nimbus 365 Coupé and the Aquador 300 HT.
