Broker's Comments

What might be described as a 'Barn Find' this exceptionally pretty day sailer has hardly seen the water in her ten years of life.
She is based on a Barry Island Seeker (small inshore pilot vessel) moulded from a wooden hull found languishing in Barry docks, the original being from the 1800's
Small enough to be towed by any family car, able to fit into a garage yet reported to sail and feel like a 'proper yacht' she has a lightly used Honda 2.3 hp aircooled outboard and a purpose built un-braked road trailer. Ideal for lakes and estuary sailing the Tela is praised for her balance and ease of control and her ability to carry a family crew in some comfort and safety. She'll sail in the lightest of airs and with minimal draft, centre board raised, the shallowest creeks are accessible. Swallows and Amazons anyone?
