Judges in the Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image 2023 photo competition have revealed the top 20 images for this year, ahead of the winners’ announcement on 16 November 2023 at METSRADE in Amsterdam.

A total of 144 professional photographers representing 30 nations have entered this year’s contest. The contest winners will be announced and celebrated in the presence of some of the sports’ leading personalities from all over the world during a ceremony at METSTRADE.

Three prizes will be awarded to the winners: the Mirabaud Yacht Racing Image Award (main prize), selected by the international jury; the Public Award, based on the number of public votes cast online; and the Delegates Award, based on votes by METSTRADE visitors. A total of 17,000 public votes have been cast this year.

The jury this year comprises:

  • Nicolas Mirabaud, managing partner, Mirabaud Bank (SUI)
  • Tatiana Pokorny, journalist, German News Agency & Yacht (GER)
  • Alexandra Rickham, head of sustainability, World Sailing (GBR)
  • Scott Dougal, director of communications and digital, World Sailing (GBR)
  • Nico Martinez, photographer, winner of MYRI 2022 (ESP)
  • Laurène Coroller, journalist, Voiles & Voiliers (FRA)

The winners of the Yacht Racing Award 2023 will share prize money, while gifts provided by 727 Sailbags will be distributed to the best-ranked photographers present on site.

The prizgiving ceremony will take place on Thursday 16 November at 4.30 pm at METSTRADE in Amsterdam. It will be live-streamed on Facebook.

Photographers from all over the world as well as industry professionals are invited to the event, but registration is necessary.
